Service Sales Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, technical, service sales professional to join our team. The main responsibility of this individual will be to market and sell select Flow Tech product lines and service to building owners/end users within a given territory. This person will report directly to the Sales Manager/President.

Position Overview

Sales and Business Development

  • Develop account relationships with end users and manufacturing principals.Ensure our products are the standard at end user facilities.

Provide constant feedback as to how principals can improve their product for our market to increase sales for both parties. On-site training at our manufacturing principals’ facilities or at Flow Tech will be required.

  • Perform daily sales calls to meet with prospects and clients to move projects through the sales funnel/cycle and secure the order.Identify appropriate sales leads.

Follow up on generated sales leads and referrals and manage each through the stages of project development to ensure timely conversion to meet the booking plan.

  • Maintain post-sale and post-project completion contact with customers to foster continuation of the relationship with Flow Tech and to capture future sales opportunities from repeat customers.
  • Engage with local professional organizations to establish new relationships and maintain existing ones, including after-work/evening events.
  • Present products/solutions to customer groups in lunch & learn or other desired formats to educate potential customers about assigned product lines.
  • Travel within territory to provide face-to-face contact with consumers.

Project Administration

  • Calculate and/or analyze equipment/system selection and configuration for end users.
  • Compile pricing and quotations to end users. The service sales rep will be responsible for project coordination and management of all orders received.
  • Document detailed records of current opportunities and booked orders within CRM and electronic filing system.
  • Participate in training to maintain a thorough understanding of Flow Tech’s product lines and/or to reinforce the sales process.
  • Manage projects post-sale including submittals, documentation and release. Coordinate with Flow Tech service department for startup/service requests.
  • Immerse oneself in the products and services Flow Tech offers. Candidate should be able to speak intelligently to all of Flow Tech’s products/services to customers within a few months.

Required Qualifications

  • Electrical, mechanical or applicable technical background
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant sales experience
  • Knowledge of VFDs, HVAC equipment and systems and the construction industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience with CRM sales management tools
  • Ability to work independently and interact with customers

Compensation:
